Welcome to Chao On Fire. Feel free to be creative here. Feel free to make me think, the only requisite is hilarity. HILARITY. UTTER, UTTER HILARITY. HA HA HA. ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.|
I'm going to be making daily posts of my "Impertinent Metaphors" artwork.
Impertinent Metaphors are a series of entirely random images given seemingly pertinent or important titles in realms of sociology, character dynamics, and politics. Only they have nothing to do with that at all.
It all started with "Morals."
In a character education assembly in 12th grade, Jay and I sat staring blankly at notebooks while a basketball player droned about how the way you dress will determine your value as a human being. Rather than fill in my "Detroit Pistons Pyramid to Success," I drew a picture of a chao.
A chao with a stupid grin. Holding a cartoon bomb. With messed up eyes.
It was hilarious. Not really. But we chuckled. And then paused as the droning continued. I quickly fuzzed out the bomb, and wrote upon it the label "morals."
"Look now," I said. "Its a valid sociopolitical commentary on the state of our principles."
And it really, really meant something. So I've doodled more. And here and there I make more. So I'll put them here.
Impetinent Metaphor #1
